Breaking news!
As with many great rock-and-roll bands throughout
history, tragedy and sorrow finally caught up with
CARRY THE ZERO. Guitarist Mike Bequette had been
battling a very rare condition known in the medical
world as 'Chowinitis'. He became a member of the E.P.A
(eating people anonymous) in early 2001 and was in his
sixth year of abstinence when the hunger returned. On
Sept 1, 2007 while hosting a Labor day weekend
bar-b-que, Bequette ate bassist Jeff Peterson with some
biscuits and a side of cole slaw..The following is a
transcript from the 911 call that day:
911: Whats your emergency?
Bequette: I just ate our bass player
As fate would have it, drummer Smitty and
Vocalist/guitarist Bruce Morrison were on a 5 day
fishing trip in the bad lands of South Dakota. While
visiting Earls bait and tackle, they met master baiter
Jim Jones working there, who ironically played bass
from 1958-1971 with Legendary group Chauncy
Cashmere and the Sweaters. Since the additon of JJ on
bass, and Mikes successful completion of rehab (for
Chowinitis) CARRY THE ZERO is back and better than
ever..It really does work if you work it!
